Welcome to
AnthroSonus
AnthroSonus is invite-only. If you play and know someone who's in, ask them to nominate you.
Why I built this
I've played improvised music in a few different cities now. Every time, the hard part wasn't the music. It was finding each other. Who plays here? Where could we play? Who'd be up for a duo next month?
That knowledge exists. But it's scattered across inboxes, old gig listings and the memories of a few people who've been around a while. If you don't know the right person, you don't hear about it.
Shorten the distance between "I'd love to play with them" and actually playing.
AnthroSonus is my attempt to fix that. A network for improvising musicians, built to make that distance shorter.
Three networks
What we're building, together.
Musicians
Profiles built from what actually happened: the records you've made, the gigs you've played, the bands you're in. Every shared record and gig draws a line between two people, so you can see who's connected to who, and how.
Venues
Rooms that really book this kind of music, from Budapest to Chiang Mai. Members vouch for the rooms they've played and add what you need before you write: who books, how the door works, the nearest station.
Members onlyResources
The radio shows and magazines that actually cover improvised music. WFMU, The Wire, Tilos Rádió and more, with notes on who to send a record to.
How it works
It's invite-only. You're here because someone knows your playing and trusts you.
Your profile stays private until you've filled it in. After that, you choose whether it shows publicly.
It isn't a place to sell. No cold pitches, no promotion. Just people who play, finding each other.
Once you're in, you can invite improvisers you know and trust. That's how it grows.
See you in there,
Casey
